NSP finds almost 1,000 suspected fentanyl pills during traffic stop

A North Dakota woman was arrested near Gibbon after nearly 1,000 suspected fentanyl pills were found in her vehicle.

GIBBON, Neb. -- A North Dakota woman was arrested near Gibbon after nearly 1,000 suspected fentanyl pills were found in her vehicle.

The Nebraska State Patrol said a trooper did a traffic stop on a Chrysler 200 at 9:05 on Monday. The Chrysler was parked on the shoulder of Interstate 80 near Gibbon, at mile marker 289.

Officials said the trooper saw drug paraphernalia out in the open inside of the vehicle. The trooper found 950 suspected fentanyl pills, a smaller amount of methamphetamine, and multiple items of drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

According to authorities, the driver was 30-year-old Brittany Beeter, of Fargo, N.D. Beeter was lodged in the Buffalo County Jail and arrested for possession of an extremely hazardous substance, possession with intent to deliver, possession of methamphetamine, imitation of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
