Prosecutors in Grand Island have charged a man with several felonies and misdemeanors in connection to a hostage/standoff situation.
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. -- Prosecutors in Grand Island have charged a man with several felonies and misdemeanors in connection to a hostage/standoff situation.
A Grand Island man was charged with seven felonies and two misdemeanors in connection with a March 26th escape that turned into an hours-long hostage/standoff incident.
According to officials, 27-year-old Tyler Manka is charged with felony kidnapping, three counts of use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, burglary, terroristic threats, and escape when under arrest for a felony; and misdemeanors for resisting arrest and obstructing a police officer.
