Grand Island Police make arrest in Hamilton County theft

Police in Central Nebraska have arrested a man for possession of a stolen car.

GRAND ISLAND, Neb.-- Police in Central Nebraska have arrested a man for possession of a stolen car.

Grand Island police say they were notified Saturday evening of a stolen Jeep that was possibly in Grand Island.

Authorities say the car was being tracked and was at 17th and Vine. 

Officers soon found the car unoccupied and running. A man, later identified as James Ross was seen near the car. 

He admitted to the police that he took the Jeep and had the keys.

Ross was arrested for possession of stolen property and the Jeep was released back to its owner.
