Grand Island woman arrested for beating man unconscious

A central Nebraska woman is in the jail after she allegedly beat a man unconscious.

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. -- A central Nebraska woman is in the jail after she allegedly beat a man unconscious. 

Grand Island police said it happened just after 1 a.m. Sunday, at the Brickhouse Night Club. 

Police said they found a man outside of the club unconscious on the ground. 

After an investigation, police determined 30-year-old Laken Hormann hit the victim in the head with a beer bottle then went outside with the victim where she kicked and hit him until he was unconscious. 

Police said once arrested, Hormann also assaulted a police officer by kicking him.

She was arrested for second-degree domestic assault and assault of a police officer.
