NORFOLK, Neb. – Norfolk Police made arrests in separate assault incidents over the weekend.

On Friday morning, officers were called to an apartment in the 1400 block of County Club Road for an assault report. A woman reported that Kyle J. Walter, 32, of Norfolk, had assaulted her and had left.

The woman said that they were in a verbal argument and that Walter grabbed her by the throat and pushed her into a door. Officers say the victim’s neck had redness and bruising consistent with someone grabbing and squeezing her neck. She also had injuries from being pushed in the door, according to an NPD press release.

NPD says a statement from a witness was consistent with the victim’s account of the incident.

Walter was located and placed under arrest for strangulation, and third degree domestic assault.

Two days later, Norfolk Police were called to the 200 block of East Phillip Avenue for an unrelated assault report.

A man reported that Caroline A. Sischo, 21, of Norfolk, had just assaulted him. The man said that he and Sischo were in a verbal argument and that Sischo took his phone and hit him in the face as well as in the chest, before he was able to leave.

According to an NPD press release, the male had dried blood around his lips from where he was struck. Sischo was located nearby and questioned about the incident. Sischo was then arrested for third degree domestic assault.
