One person dies in Fremont crash involving pickup, semi

One person has died after a pickup and semi collided in Fremont.

FREMONT, Neb. -- One person has died after a pickup and semi collided in Fremont.

The crash occurred just after 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the intersection of Cathy Street and Highway 77.

Authorities say the pickup driver was heading west on Cathy Street and died at the scene. The semi driver was uninjured.

The crash closed the intersection for about two and a half hours. The Nebraska State Patrol is still investigating what led to the accident.
