The Chadron High football team rolled to a 31-0 halftime lead en route to a 37-0 win over Valentine on Friday night. The win moves the Cardinals to 3-0 on the season.

Last year the two teams didn’t play due to COVID issues with Valentine.

Chadron took the opening kick off and scored on their first drive on the back of the first of three Malakai Swallow touchdown runs.

Chadron played a fairly clean game committing just three penalties on the night, two of them being substitution penalties. Chadron also committed just one turnover while the Badgers had two.

Dawson Dunbar, Justus Alcorn, and Quinn Bailey also added rushing touchdowns, but it was Swallow in the 4th quarter who slammed the door on his final touchdown run of the night.

Chadron will return home next Friday when they host Gering.
