Lacy Weigel Signs With Peru State Golf

Peru State golf coach Sue Owen recently announced that Lacy Weigel (Colby, Kan.) signed her national letter of intent to join the Bobcat golf program this fall.

(Peru, Neb.) – Peru State golf coach Sue Owen recently announced that Lacy Weigel (Colby, Kan.) signed her national letter of intent to join the Bobcat golf program this fall.
 
Weigel graduated from Colby High School and is the daughter of Shawn Weigel and Kim Umberger. She was coached by Rick Williams.
 
A three-time All-League Player, Weigel qualified for the state tournament three times for the Eagles. This past fall Weigel had rounds of 103 and 97 to finish in the top half of the Kansas High School Class 3-2-1A State Tournament.
 
Weigel was also a member of National Honor Society as well as a member of the Student Council.
 
While at Peru State Weigel plans on majoring in Disease and Human Health. In addition to her golf scholarship, she will also receive the No Boundaries scholarship.
