Peru State WBB Recognizes Its Senior Players
The sisters were escorted to center court by their parents and younger sister, Deonna.

(Peru, Neb.) – On one of the coldest evenings in many, many years, the Peru State women's basketball team recognized a pair of seniors prior to the start of their game Monday night, Feb. 15.
It was also a little different for the Bobcats as they honored a pair of sisters – Kristian and Dayna Dewitt – from Mansfield, Texas. Peru State has had sisters play in the past, but it might have been the first time – at least in a long time – that sisters were recognized on the same evening.
The sisters were escorted to center court by their parents and younger sister, Deonna.
The following is what was shared about each player and what was read Monday prior to the contest.
Both Kristian and Dayna had been on the team for two years with Kristian's playing time cut short due to some injuries.
23 Kristian Dewitt
Mansfield, Texas, is the home of Kristian Dewitt. Dewitt went to Alcorn State University after graduating from Mansfield Lake Ridge High School before coming and playing for the Bobcats. She is the daughter of Derek and Keri Dewitt. Dewitt is a kinesiology major and after graduation Kristian plans to go to graduate school as a grad assistant and later become a college basketball coach. One of many Bobcat memories for Kristian is creating long lasting friendships with teammates.
