Northeast Power customers getting reduced rates

The Wayne, Nebraska electric company cut $1.5 million out of its January and February bills.

WAYNE, Neb. -- Some northeast Nebraskans are receiving a pleasant surprise in their latest power bill.

Northeast Power cut $1.5 million out of its January and February bills. The Wayne electric company also cut retail rates by five percent, effective April.

Northeast Power says the cuts are due to operational efficiency.
