Cass County man killed in grain bin accident

Authorities are investigating after a 72-year-old man was killed in a grain bin accident in southeast Nebraska on Wednesday.

Authorities are investigating after a 72-year-old man was killed in a grain bin accident in southeast Nebraska on Wednesday.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a grain bin accident in Nehawka Wednesday afternoon.

Deputies say 72-year old Timothy Savage was working on a grain bin door when the grain enclosure failed resulting in Savage being covered in corn.

The sheriff's office says Savage was pronounced dead at the scene.
