Weeklong mask distribution event taking place in Grand Island

The University of Nebraska Extension in Hall County and the Heatland United Way are combining forces to distribute face masks during a weeklong distribution.

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) – The University of Nebraska Extension in Hall County and the Heatland United Way are combining forces to distribute face masks during a weeklong distribution.

The mask give-away will begin Monday, November 30 and run through Friday, December 4. It will be held at various locations from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The masks are being made possible by a Blue Cross Blue Shield grant awarded to the Heartland United Way. Each mask will come with information on how to properly wear and care for it in four languages: Arabic, English, Somali, and Spanish.

Monday: La Mexicana Market – 385 N Pine St.

Tuesday: Tacos Los Hermanos – 602 W 4th St.

Wednesday: Millan’s Market – 124 W 4th St.

Thursday: Super Acapulco – 317 S Locust St.

Friday: Sanchez Plaza – 218 S Wheeler Ave.
