Law officers recover suspected illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia

BEATRICE – Gage County law officers have arrested a husband and wife on suspicion of drug violations, after serving a search warrant at a north Beatrice motel.

Deputies, Beatrice and Wymore Police combined efforts in serving the warrant at a local motel room Saturday, around 5:25 p.m.  Authorities suspected distribution of methamphetamine was taking place from the motel room. 

During the search, officers seized six baggies of suspected meth, a meth pipe and 13 empty baggies with suspected methamphetamine residue.  They also found two containers of concentrated THC wax, along with marijuana pipes, grinders and containers.

Gage County law officers arrested 27-year-old Eric Lewien and 37-year-old Christina Lewien on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, drug possession, child neglect, maintaining a drug house and exposing a child to methamphetamine.

Law officers says two children, ages five and six, were in the motel room.  One child was returned to a parent while the other was placed with a family member.
