Storm rolls through North Platte

NORTH PLATTE - Viewers shared striking images of the sky from the North Platte area tonight.

This video was taken just after 8 pm Wednesday night and shows a major thunderstorm moving through the area.

Storm systems across the state were producing severe thunderstorms, prompting several warnings and watches from the National Weather Service.

Some of the hazards associated with the storms included large hail, damaging winds and heavy rain.

There were reports of some landspout tornadoes that popped up in western Nebraska.
