CHADRON - The Chadron Area Aquatics and Wellness Center reopen on Monday after a 2-month coronavirus closure that also included the annual 2-week May maintenance closure.

Hours will be noon to 6:00 Monday-Saturday and noon-to-5:00 on Sunday.

Center supervisor Alyssa Maez says all current coronavirus Directed Health Measures and guidelines will be followed, so patrons should be prepared to stand outside maintaining social distance requirements until they can be admitted.

The number of patrons allowed inside at any one time will be limited and parents should walk with their children into the facility to make sure that occupancy levels have not been met.

Maez says the guidelines will be posted throughout the Aquatics and Wellness Center as well as on its Facebook page.

The parking lot between the Aquatics Center and the high school is closed for repaving, so patrons are asked to use the on-street parking on the north side of 10th Street.

Maez says all passes except for punch cards have been credited with 6 additional weeks to compensate for the coronavirus closure.
