Severe Thunderstorms Making Their Way Through Nebraska Panhandle
There have already been reports of ping-pong-ball-sized hail in Kimball County
KIMBALL - Severe thunderstorms are making their way through the panhandle as Nebraskans prepare for another bout of inclement weather.
The footage above was taken on Highway 71 near Kimball Saturday evening as heavy rainfall came down in Cheyenne, Kimball, and Morrill counties. The storm also brought with it up to 70 mile-per-hour wind gusts as well as ping-pong-ball-sized hail in Kimball County, with additional hail falling in Harrisburg in Banner County.
A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect through this evening, and a tornado watch is also in effect for Dundy, Hitchcock, and Red Willow counties in the southwest portion of the state. We will continue to keep you updated as this severe weather continues.
