BEATRICE – Beatrice Police and EMS personnel were sent to a north Beatrice Motel parking lot early last night.  A vehicle went off a parking lot, down into Indian Creek, near the Victorian Inn.

Two occupants were out of the vehicle when police and Beatrice Fire and Rescue arrived on scene.  EMS crew members were sent there at about 6:10 p.m.

Beatrice Police say the driver, 44-year-old Sarah Fischer, of Beatrice, told them the brakes on the 2004 Pontiac Grand GT failed as she went through the nearby intersection of 6th and Dorsey westbound.  The car proceeded through the motel parking lot and a passenger jumped from the vehicle while it was still moving.

Fischer remained in the vehicle when it went down an embankment, into Indian Creek.  The car, according to a witness, was traveling less than ten miles-per-hour going through the lot.

No one had to be transported for medical treatment.
