SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. - (KNEP) A Minatare woman receives citations and is treated for injuries after driving her car into a business on Highway 26.

According to Scotts Bluff County Sheriff Mark Overman, the accident occurred just after 10p Saturday night.

An investigation found that 45-year-old Dawn Cline was heading west on Highway 26 when she crossed the median and headed for eastbound traffic. She continued heading west knocking down a median/intersection sign before going airborne for 68 feet. Cline then hit a ditch and continued another 300 feet where she collided with the side of Nebraskaland Tire.

The car was completely inside the building when Sheriff’s deputies, Valley Ambulance, City of Scottsbluff Fire and Scotts Bluff Rural Fire showed up. Cline was able to crawl out of the car and the building where she was treated and transported to Regional West Medical Center.

Cline’s injuries are considered to be non-life threatening but she was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of marijuana less than one once and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both her car and the building sustained major damage but at this time a cost estimate is unknown.
