ALLIANCE - Many towns in the Panhandle find themselves in wait-and-see mode as they sit right on the border of what could be heavy snow, or a lot of rain.
This video comes to us from Alliance, a town that saw a dusting of snow overnight with more expected today.
The National Weather Service office in Cheyenne Wyoming is telling residents in Alliance that four to six inches of snow is forecast, but that they lie in part of the storm system that could see small pockets where up to ten inches is possible.
They say that's because of a weather phenomenon known as "snow banding". That's another term for small concentrations of heavy snow over a two- to five-hour period.
