Police: Man states he was robbed and shot, later admits he shot himself in foot

A man accidentally shot himself in the foot Tuesday morning, police said.

OMAHA - A man accidentally shot himself in the foot Tuesday morning, police said.

Officers were initially called to an attempted robbery near 36th and Leavenworth streets around 2 a.m.

Police said after further investigation, the man who said he was robbed and shot later told officers there was no robbery and he accidentally shot himself.
