BELLEVUE - A standoff in Bellevue ended peacefully Wednesday afternoon after nearly 10 hours.

Troopers with the Iowa State Patrol said they received a tip and tried to conduct a traffic stop around 5:30 a.m. on Highway 370, a few miles east of the Bellevue Toll Bridge.

Troopers say the driver, Eric Kramer was wanted in Michigan.

Troopers say instead of stopping for them, Kramer drove his car into the middle of the road, stopped and pointed a gun to his head.

That's when the hours-long standoff began, ending around 3:15 p.m. when a tactical team was able to get Kramer to surrender his gun peacefully.
