NORFOLK - A new bank headquarters broke ground in Norfolk on Wednesday.

Midwest Bank held a ceremony to dedicate the new facility in Norfolk, which will serve as the new Corporate Headquarters as well as an additional Norfolk branch location.

Representatives from the bank and the city were in attendance including Midwest Bank President and CEO Doug Johnson and Norfolk Market President Jason Love.

Doug Johnson says the new building will create more jobs and boost the economy of Norfolk.

Midwest Bank officials say once completed, various departments and positions will be brought together under one roof, increasing efficiency, encouraging collaboration and improving communication.

The construction site for the new Midwest Bank facility is located southwest of Highway 275 and 25th Street in Norfolk.

The building will serve Midwest Bank’s 10 locations across Eastern Nebraska.
