Wanted man caught by Stanton County Authorities

Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger told NCN his department apprehended Kirby around 4:30 in the afternoon on a county road Northwest of Stanton.

STANTON - A man wanted by the Stanton County Sheriff's Office is now in custody.

In a news release Tuesday Morning, Officials said they were searching for 34-year-old Aaron Kirby, who was last seen in Stanton on at 3 a.m.

The Illinois man had warrants out of Saint Clair and Monroe County in his home state.

Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger told NCN his department apprehended Kirby around 4:30 in the afternoon on a county road Northwest of Stanton.

The man was on foot and was taken into custody with no further incident. He is housed in the Madison County Jail awaiting an extradition hearing next week.
