Broken Bow man goes to prison for cyberstalking

BROKEN BOW - A Broken Bow man is in jail after pleading guilty to cyberstalking.

In a news release, US Attorney Joe Kelly says 37-year-old Marshal Marshall of Broken Bow was sentenced to a maximum of 10 years in prison.

Authorities say in 2017, the principal of a public school district in Broken Bow reported to the FBI that someone was sending threats to a teacher.

An Investigation showed that Marshall was impersonating teachers, friends, and family members of the victim, in order to harass and coerce the victim into taking him back.

He also began to illegally wiretap the victim by breaking into her home, placing recorders in her home and a camera in her bedroom.

Messages from Marshall’s phone showed he had convinced multiple people, including his family, to aid him in the crime.
