An inmate in Lincoln walked away from his facility Saturday morning, authorities said.

The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services identified the man as Anthony Mattison, 30. He is supposed to be in the Community Corrections Center-Lincoln.

The department said Mattison is serving a six- to 11-year sentence for theft by receiving stolen property. His case was in Platte County.

The state’s two Community Corrections Centers allow inmates, with approval, to do work, attend school and go to religious services without direct supervision.

The department asked anyone with knowledge of where Mattison is to call local law enforcement or the Nebraska State Patrol.
