Pearl Records“We’re gonna spend the weekend in the deep end of a dive bar,” Garth Brooks and Blake Shelton declare in their rollicking new duet.

As you might imagine, “Dive Bar” sounds a lot like the music you’d probably hear in one of the hole-in-the-wall joints that inspired it.

“This is kind of a salute back to the dive bars, the honky tonks, all those places that country music is born in and lives everyday,” Garth explains. “You know, it says in that line, 'Think of this as your oasis/It's the safest of the places/That a broken heart can find to hide.' That's what a dive bar is!”

Garth and Blake are set to perform the song together live from the first time on Saturday, July 19 during Garth’s show at Albertsons Stadium in Boise, Idaho. In the meantime, Garth hints they’re already working on a unique idea for a music video.

Right now, “Dive Bar” is available exclusively via country radio, though you can sample a bit of it on Garth’s Instagram.

It’ll be available on Amazon Music on Amazon Prime Day which, although technically still a secret, is rumored to be July 15.
