Body Of Missing Man Found Near Columbus

COLUMBUS - Authorities have located the body of the missing person last seen near Tailrace Park in Columbus.
Platte County Sheriff Ed Wemhoff says around 8:30 Tuesday morning, a helicopter flying the area located the body of 18-year-old Bryan Montenegro Gonzalez and contacted the Sheriff's Office.
The Sheriff's Office, along with the Colfax County Sheriff's Office, Schuyler Fire Department and Nebraska Airboaters Association were involved in the search.
Authorities say Gonzalez's body was found in the Platte River, about 3 miles east of Tailrace Park.
Gonzalez was last seen at the park before going under the water on Saturday. The incident is considered a drowning.
