Bellevue husband, wife die in collision involving motorcycle and pickup

Two Bellevue residents died Saturday after a collision between a pickup truck and a motorcycle at the intersection of 21st Street and Cornhusker Road.
Bellevue police said the motorcycle driver, Jason M. Burgess, 39, was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife and passenger, Megan M. Burgess, 29, was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center with CPR in progress and later died.
Investigators determined that a 2013 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was eastbound on Cornhusker Road about 7:30 p.m. when it collided with a 1999 Dodge Ram pickup truck making a left turn at 21st Street.


The 16-year-old male driver of the pickup was not injured. The crash is under investigation.
