SIDNEY -- Crews from Midwest Electric, High West Energy, and Roosevelt Public Power District partnered with Wheat Belt Public Power crews today, offering mutual aid with ongoing restoration efforts resulting from the Morrill Fire.

These crews reported directly to Oshkosh, where they have established a temporary command center for morning briefings.

The Wheat Belt staff extends its sincere appreciation to Oshkosh Foreman Kevin Coss for allowing crews to utilize his home as the command center, as well as to his wife DeeAnn and daughter Natalie for providing meals. Their generosity and support truly reflect the spirit of public power and the strong sense of community that comes with it.

These crews will be working alongside Wheat Belt personnel throughout the affected areas over the next several days as restoration efforts continue following the fire.
