KEARNEY, Neb. — People looking to shop without braving the frigid temperatures have a new option this week in Kearney.

Legacy on the Bricks, a downtown event space, is hosting a multi-day indoor garage sale featuring everything from baby clothes to household items.

The idea came from owner Bailey Bolte, who noticed many friends struggling to sell excess items online while juggling meetups across town.

“We have a lot of good stuff that we need to get rid of, but we thought it'd be fun just to kind of gal pal up and get it sold to other people for pennies on the dollar,” said Bolte.

The sale runs Thursday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., giving shoppers multiple chances to browse as vendors continually bring in new items.

Each vendor is allotted at least three eight-foot tables, and this year’s event is fully booked, Bolte said, with plans to make it an annual tradition.

Legacy on the Bricks, which is located at 16 W 21st St in Kearney, primarily hosts weddings, corporate events, post-prom gatherings, baby showers and more.
