A player who has scored over 1,000 career points is the recipient of the ESPN Tri-Cities Female Athlete of the Month for January.

Senior Ashley Bauer of Elm Creek wins this month's award after joining the 1K club back in January in a 55-24 win over North-Platte St. Patrick's.

Bauer is averaging 14 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game so far in the 2024-25 season.

This has helped propel the Buffaloes to a record of 18-1, while remaining undefeated in district play.

Bauer announced in December that she will continue her academic and athletic career at Hasting College.
