Man arrested in Kimball County on felony warrant

Kimball County deputies arrested a 52-year-old man Sunday on a felony warrant out of Iowa, along with charges of resisting arrest and obstruction.

KIMBALL, Neb. — The Kimball County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 52-year-old man Sunday in connection with a felony warrant out of Iowa and additional local charges.

According to the sheriff’s office, Melton Nelson was taken into custody Jan. 11 after deputies made contact with him. Nelson was arrested on a felony warrant issued in Iowa, along with local charges of resisting arrest and obstruction.

Authorities did not release additional details about the circumstances leading to the arrest or the nature of the Iowa warrant.

All individuals arrested are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
