Former teacher convicted of sexual crimes in Frontier county

A former teacher in Southwest Nebraska was sentenced to 90 days at the frontier county jail, along with five years of probation.

30 year old Nicholas High of Bertrand, was found guilty of attempted manufacture visual depiction, sexual abuse by a school employee and child abuse. The incidents occurred between November of 2021 and August of 2023.

Some of the documents were sealed, but High was initially accused of sexual crimes against four different minors between the ages of 16 and 18, after taking a plea deal he was found guilty of four counts.

Along with his sentencing and probation, he was also required to register as a sex offender and pay a $7,500.00 fine.
