Sidney Schools students of the month

The Sidney School District Board of Education recognized the December Students of the Month Monday.

SIDNEY -- 

7th Grade - Vivian Jordan:
Vivian Jordan has been selected as the 7th grade Student of the Month for November. Vivian is recognized for a positive attitude, strong academic performance, and active participation in both sports and school activities. Vivian is a very friendly student and makes our school a happier place. Vivian is the daughter of John and Stephanie Jordan.

8th Grade - Luci Grove
Luci is continuously displaying qualities & aspects that are worthy of her being chosen as the 8th Grade Student of the Month. She comes to school in a positive manner in both her academic as well as her extracurricular activities. She faces new challenges with positivity & determination that exemplifies her strong work ethic. If
she is unsure of a situation, she is not afraid to seek out guidance and assistance from those that can help. She is respectful to teachers, staff, & her fellow students/teammates. Her positive attitude, determination, hard work ethic, and patience with others makes her an admirable choice for this award. Luci is the daughter of Kurt Grove and Lisa Tooley.

9th Grade - Brice Witte
Brice is a kind, intelligent, polite student. He strives to be an excellent example both in and out of the classroom. Brice is a part of the football, wrestling, and track teams. He is always willing to lend a helping hand to a friend, or stranger with no question. He is always sharing humor and kindness. Brice is a great example of what SHS exemplifies. Brice is the son of Tony Witte and the son of Jenn Witte.

10th Grade - Zoey Gorman
Zoey Gorman is a hard working student who prioritizes her academics over everything else. She is also highly organized, which allows her to keep her high
grades while still being a very active member of our Fine & Performing Arts community. She is a member of the SHS Play Production team that won Runner Up at the Western Conference Play Production Contest. Zoey was also recognized with an Outstanding Performer Award at the Scottsbluff Early Bird Play Production Contest in early November. Zoey is the daughter of Joey and Sarah Gorman.

11th Grade - Dan Grunig: 
Dan is an exceptional student who consistently demonstrates responsibility, respect, and a strong commitment to his education. He is actively involved in a variety of
school activities and clubs, contributing positively to our school community both inside and outside the classroom. In class, Dan is reliable and hardworking. He consistently completes his assignments on time and approaches his work with maturity and focus. Beyond his academics, Dan is personable, friendly, and a joy to
have in class. His positive attitude and willingness to participate make him a role model for his peers. Dan is the son of Keith and Madison Grunig.

12th Grade - Noel Onate
Noel excels in class. He is also very involved in extracurricular activities - cross country, one act, speech, band, choir, DECA, HOSA and NHS. Noel has grown a lot
this year! He is the recipient of the NSAA Believers and Achievers award, a semi-finalist in the National Merit Scholarship program, and currently working towards
earning an associate's of computer science from WNCC. Noel is the son of Saul and Juana Onate
