Hasting's resident Glenda Ruth (Martin) Davidson, 91, passed away Monday, September 9, 2024, at her home.

 

Private family services will be held at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.lbvfh.com. Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home & Cremation Center is serving the family.

 

Glenda was born June 28, 1933, in Gates, NE to Perry and Sarah (Hatch) Martin. She graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1950.

 

Glenda married James Davidson on March 8, 1953, in Broken Bow, NE. She taught school for one year and was a telephone operator. Earlier in her married life, she helped her husband farm in Gibbon, NE. With a move to Kearney, NE in 1960 she became a military wife to James, and they moved to Hastings in 1974. James passed away on April 3, 1993.

 

Glenda enjoyed Nebraska football and volleyball, and a good board puzzle was enjoyed also.

 

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and by her siblings and spouses, Stanley (Virginia) Martin, Dean (Rosie) Martin, and Opal (Earl) Govier; and brother-in-law, Art Coons.
