Volleyball Day in Nebraska featured in new Scotty McCreery music video

LINCOLN, Neb. -- A new music video from a country music star features one of Nebraska’s biggest moments of 2023.

Scotty McCreery released his new video, “Cab In a Solo,” just five days ago. He used pictures and videos from the historic Volleyball Day in Nebraska throughout the video. It depicts scenes before the concert, during the concert and shots from, in and around the stadium. As of Monday afternoon, the music video already had more than 59,000 views on YouTube.

The epic day brought the state of Nebraska together to celebrate volleyball and women’s sports. The day will be best remembered for setting the world record for attendance at a women's sporting event. More than 92,000 people packed into Memorial Stadium when Nebraska hosted Omaha in an outdoor volleyball match. University of Nebraska at Kearney and Wayne State College faced off earlier in the day.

McCreery performed on a stage set up on the field after the matches. Previously, he sang the national anthem before Nebraska's football win over Northwestern in October 2021.

McCreery's next stop in Nebraska is Feb. 10 at Steelhouse in Omaha.
