HOLDREGE, Neb. -- A manufacturing plant in central Nebraska is cutting 100 jobs from its operation.

BD made the announcement Tuesday that the company is relocating its needle and syringe manufacturing lines from its plant in Holdrege to other existing BD facilities.

The bulk of operations is expected to move to a plant in Connecticut.

According to a news release, the manufacturing lines will complete their transition by October 20th.

The company said BD will retain about 50 employees to operate its medical device sterilization operations and microbiology lab services in the Holdrege facility.
