KEARNEY, Neb. — The Archway’s biggest fundraiser is getting even bigger.

The annual Summerfest event is on Sunday from 11:00-4:00 at The Archway in Kearney. The celebration was just in one of the parking lots during its first two years. Now in its third year, The Archway will block off the street and extend the party to the grounds near the entrance and across the bridge from the arch.

Event and Marketing Director Stacy Schwartz says Summerfest is about exposing people to The Archway.

“It’s just a great education to let everybody know we’re here and what we have to offer, as well as giving something back to the community with a fun event,” Schwartz said.

On top of the familiar food trucks, games, rides and laser tag, Summerfest will now feature a petting zoo, local craft vendors and an increased selection of rides.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online. They include unlimited rides and discounted admission to The Archway show.
