AXTELL, Neb. — 10 people are recovering from injuries after an SUV and a bus carrying a detasseling crew collided.

The Kearney County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened at the intersection of Highway 6 and 2nd Ave. in Axtell around 11:00 a.m. on Monday. According to a news release, all three people in the SUV were transported to a hospital with minor injuries. Seven of the 24 people on the bus were also transported to a hospital with minor injuries.

The bus was transporting the detasseling crew to an area job site.

The accident remains under investigation.
