HASTINGS, Neb. — A non-profit event space in Hastings is looking for a new executive director.

The Lark announced this week that executive director Cara Kimberly is resigning after leading the venue for two years.

“I am forever grateful to have worked alongside so many passionate artists, musicians, and patrons,” Kimberly said in an email sent to supporters. “As I move on the the next journey in my career, I hope patrons continue to engage, support, and make beautiful memories in this nonprofit event venue.”

In a statement, the board of directors thanked Kimberly for her hard work and dedication. The board is working to finalize a job description and will post an application on The Lark’s website soon.

Sarah Nottage-Tacey, who runs an event business and is the theatre director at Hastings College, will be assisting the board during the transition.

The Lark opened in 2014 in downtown Hastings. It is available for rental and hosts The Listening Room concert series.
