Harbaugh says Michigan has continued to 'attack' since end of last season
After a breakthrough season in 2021, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh says his team is not letting off the gas pedal.
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- After a breakthrough season in 2021, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh says his team is not letting off the gas pedal.
"It's been a tremendous offseason for the Michigan Wolverine football program," Harbaugh said.
Harbaugh's Wolverines beat rival Ohio State for the first time in his tenure during the 2021 season, pushing Michigan into the Big Ten Championship Game for the first time in program history. The Wolverines beat Iowa to win the conference crown and advance to the College Football Playoff, where they fell to eventual national champion Georgia.
"Our guys from literally days after our final game last year have been at work, attacking everything they do," Harbaugh said. "There's been zero entitlement in the offseason, and now, and really for the foreseeable future. It's been a really good continuation from last year's team."
Harbaugh said current team members enjoyed the taste of last year's team success, but also noted that it was beneficial for current players to see the individual success of Aidan Hutchinson, David Ojabo and Hassan Haskins -- all of whom were drafted into the NFL after last season.
"They put in that work," Harbaugh said of his team. "They know what it was like, that good feeling of taking care of your business."
