PARADISE, Kan. – After wildfires wreaked havoc on operations for farmers and ranchers in north-central Kansas last week, Nebraska farmers decided to come to their aid.

A convoy traveling from Nebraska to Kansas brought truckloads of hay to those affected by the wildfires that erupted on Dec. 15.

The truckers drove the hay down Highway 183 on Wednesday. The Nebraska State Patrol helped clear the way for the drivers.

“It is a beautiful morning and day to help a neighbor,” NSP said in a Twitter post.

On Wednesday, Tyson Foods announced that the company would donating $100,000 to help support cattle farmers and ranchers affected by the fires.
