GRAND ISLAND, Neb. -- A central Nebraska woman is facing charges for attempted arson and criminal trespass after an incident earlier this week.

39-year-old Kandi Turner was arrested Thursday after an incident Wednesday night at the Island Inn Motel.

Turner had been told by the motel staff she could not come onto the property due to a dispute between her and a guest staying at the motel.

Police say turner attempted to burn down the guest's door with lit cigarettes only resulting in burn marks but no major damage.
