Meth, stolen car among charges facing teens after separate weekend arrests

NORFOLK, Neb. – Multiple teens were arrested for drug charges, among others, during weekend incidents.

On Saturday morning, Norfolk Police had contact with a male juvenile who was in a vehicle parked in a parking lot at E. Nebraska and N. Oak Street.

Officers discovered the teen was in possession of marijuana. During a further search, a glass pipe, which contained methamphetamine, was also reportedly located. He was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana less than an ounce, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was later released to a parent.

A day later, a 2017 Lincoln MKT was reported stolen. On Monday morning, Norfolk Police officers observed the stolen vehicle and conducted a high risk traffic stop on the vehicle, according to a press release.

The vehicle was occupied by three 14-year-olds, one male and two females. The male juvenile was arrested for theft of the vehicle, no operator's license, possession of marijuana less than an ounce, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A female juvenile was arrested for theft of the vehicle, possession of marijuana less than an ounce, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The second female was arrested for curfew violation. All three juveniles were released to their parents.
