COLUMBUS, NE — The Columbus Family YMCA is set to reopen next week.

The YMCA says it will reopen on June 2 with new guidelines and adjusted hours.  The new Code of Conduct includes staying at least six feet away from other people, wearing a mask whenever possible, limiting workout time to one hour each day, wiping down equipment after use and only using equipment marked available for use.

The YMCA will conduct extra cleaning sessions that affect its hours.  It will close on Sundays for deep cleans and 1:00-3:00 will be reserved for cleaning and for seniors and at-risk people.

All members will be given a health and temperature screening when entering the facility.  Members will also be required to sign a waiver when using the YMCA for the first time since reopening.

The YMCA also announced that no one 15-years-old or younger will be allowed in the building in June and July.  The facility will be open to local members only.

You can find a full list of rules and the waiver form here.
