School notes: Announcements from Sidney and Kimball schools

All schools in the Nebraska panhandle are closed for the next two weeks, including in Sidney and Kimball.

SIDNEY - All schools in the Nebraska panhandle are closed for the next two weeks, including in Sidney and Kimball. Both schools have issued announcements since the closing:

- Due to the school closures and the NSAA suspending all practices until March 30 and competitions until April 2, the Sidney High School Track Meet will be cancelled this year.

- With the announcement of no school for the next two weeks there will also be no use of Sidney Public Schools buildings by any group. Effective immediately no practices, banquets, concerts, contests, etc.. will be held until further notice.

- The primary source of communication from North Elementary teachers to students is through Class DoJo. If you are a parent of a North student in Sidney and have not signed up with Class DoJo, please do so as soon as possible.

- Kimball Public Schools will have lunches to pick-up.  If you need your lunch delivered please call (308) 235-4786.
