NORFOLK - A man that was reported missing from the Community Corrections Center in Lincoln has been captured in Norfolk.

34-year-old Jamie Bear was reported missing from CCC-L on January 18th. Court records indicate that he had been arrested in July of 2019 on several outstanding warrants.

Norfolk Police Captain Mike Bauer tells News Channel Nebraska that officers received a tip that Bear may be in town Monday morning around 7 AM. Officers then responded to a house on 2nd street where one of Bear's relatives lives.

Bauer says officers received consent to search the house and found Bear inside and arrested him on a Lancaster County warrant without incident.

Officials say Bear was taken to the Norfolk City Jail, then transferred to the Madison County Jail. It is unclear at this time if he will be transported back to Lancaster County.
