The Battle Creek boys and girls teams overcame early deficits on the road to sweep a doubleheader at Lutheran High Northeast Thursday night.

The Eagles girls led for most of the first half, only to see Battle Creek surge ahead just before intermission, as the Bravettes went on to outscore LHNE 33-13 in the second half on their way to a 56-34 final. Riley Seifert led the way for BC with 15 points on the night, while Bailey Hurlburt chipped in 10, including 2 shots from beyond the arc.  Chloe Spence led all Eagles scorers with 10 points.
 
In the boys game, the Eagles opened the contest with a 7-0 run and cruised to a 7-point halftime lead, only to see the the Braves come out of the halftime break with an 11-0 streak of their own, and BC battled through a hard-fought 2nd half for a 66-59 victory. Payton Frederick was lights-out from 3-point land with five treys and a total of 18 points, while Slate Kraft and Luke Stueve were money in the bank in the paint, finishing with 16 and 12 points respectively.  For LHNE, Ben Gebhardt (18 pts), Brady Jackson (15 pts) and Tristan Scott (12 pts) all finished in double figures.
 
The Lutheran High girls (5-9) are on the road at Hartington Cedar Catholic Saturday, while the boys (8-5) travel to Walthill on Tuesday.
 
The Bravettes (10-4) and Braves (10-2) are at Guardian Angels Central Catholic Tuesday night.
