Jefferson County authorities served two Search Warrants in two separate communities this past week.

FAIRBURY - Jefferson County authorities served two Search Warrants in two separate communities this past week.

On Dec. 23, a warrant was served at 1015 4th St. in Fairbury. Meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were all discovered.

Lance Powers was arrested and a female, Bailey Sturm, was released at the scene, but will be criminally charged. The charges include Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Prohibited Person, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of less than an ounce of Marijuana.

Powers remains in custody.

On Dec. 27, a warrant was served in Endicott - six miles southeast of Fairbury. Authorities came to the home located at 401 N Schuyler St.

A female at the residence, identified as Jennifer Boeve, initially ran from deputies. Authorities say Boeve attempted to hide evidence. Meth and drug paraphernalia were found. Boeve was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Attempted Destruction of Evidence and Interfering with a Government Operation. Boeve remains in custody.

Both of these matters remain under investigation. Authorities say more arrests may soon follow.
