Identity of hit and run driver still being sought

The Madison County Sheriffs Department is again asking for the pubic’s help in identifying a vehicle and its driver that may have been involved in an unsolved fatal motorcycle crash.

MADISON - The Madison County Sheriffs Department is again asking for the public’s help in identifying a vehicle and its driver that may have been involved in an unsolved fatal motorcycle crash.

Authorities say the crash happened on August 22nd around 10 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 81 and Skyline Drive southeast of Madison.

The vehicle involved fled the scene and has not come forward.

The identity of the person who was killed is not being released at this time.

Authorities seek to identify the driver of a red or maroon SUV that may have been involved in the crash or its aftermath.

Anyone who may have been in the area or has any information about this incident is asked to contact the Madison County Sheriff's Department.

A cash reward may be available.
